Classes celebrating reunions of 55 years or more will not be charged for the reunion rooms. The Alumnae Association of the Philadelphia High School for Girls invites you to a Cavalcade of Classes and All-Class reunion celebrating our alma mater’s 170-year commitment to excellence. We invite each class to submit their memories to be included in a video that will be presented during the 129th Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon on April 21, 2018. The theme of this year’s luncheon provides the perfect backdrop for individual class reflections, memories and traditions. Our goal is to have every class represented in a video and slideshow to be presented at the luncheon. To submit your video via Dropbox, use the button below.
Taking a trip down memory lane to where it all began is a way to honor friendships and recall precious memories. Come home to be inspired. Come home to be an inspiration. These are just a few of the many reasons to return to our Girls High roots! Come home and experience the accomplishments of our school and her students. More importantly, come home and give back to a school that will always be part of your life.
Girls Normal School opened in 1848 and was the first public secondary school for girls in Pennsylvania, and was the first municipally supported normal school in the nation. The Philadelphia High School for Girls remains one of only two public preparatory high schools for girls in this country. 170 years later, we still continue to make history for women!
