Greetings Sisters,

We regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Demi-Semi Formal Gala on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Because of low ticket sales, we feel it is best to reevaluate the event so we can best serve all of our alumnae sisters and friends.

In place of the Gala, we are offering a redesigned celebration on October 21st. There will be an Open House at our beloved alma mater.

The Anniversary Open House will feature tours, entertainment, and a chance for alumnae to connect with their schoolmates. Among the highlights is the unveiling of the newly refurbished Marilyn Newby Cooper Archives Room and the STEAM-focused Maker's Space.

The evening has been reimagined as a celebration dinner at a Philadelphia Old City favorite.

If you have already purchased tickets to the gala, your ticket price will offset your dinner cost should you care to join us. We hope you consider converting the rest of your ticket price into a donation to the fundraiser. Those who choose not to join us for dinner will receive a full refund of their ticket costs. We will be working to refund all ticket buyers via your original payment method.

Though our October 21st event will no longer take place as we envisioned, we continue to strive toward our purpose – celebrating the 175-year exemplary legacy of the Philadelphia High School for Girls. The Association looks forward to a FULL DAY of laughter, tears, and memories. The Intangible Spirit will surely be with us as many generations gather to offer our “one oblation, our fidelity.”
